If you are looking to move to the Central Texas area before school starts in the fall, you have to check out the US News and World Report's rankings!

First let me explain how US News compiles their rankings. Each student are required to pass state tests in English, math, science and social studies in order to graduate. In addition, the student must earn 22 credits minimum, one of which has to be in fine arts and four in English.

There are 601 Texas schools in the rankings, 73 earning gold status, 155 silver and 373 bronze. Quite a feat!

Out of the top 10 in Texas, Round Rock had the #1 school! Congratulations to Meridian School! Not only were they #1 in Texas, they rank #6 in the Nation! Check out these scores!
